parallel lines have the same slope. So whatever the slope of the green line is, that is also the slope of the red line.

First we have to understand the relationship between the slopes of parallel lines .

Slopes of parallel lines are equal . So the slope of greeen line and red lie must be equal.

That is, if slope of green line is -2 , then slope of red line must be -2 too .
