remember the formula for the speed of light (c)----> c= λν, where λ is wavelength and ν is frequency.
in order to keep the speed of light constant (it is a constant), if the wavelength is double, it means frequency is halved.
this should make sense because as you see in the formula, wavelength and frequency are inversely proportional to each other. so if one increases, the other one decreases.
