how to simplify 5x+(-y)+8-6x+9x

So put all the x together then the y then the regular numbers. So this translates to
5x - 6x +9x -y + 8.
That would be 8x - y + 8

      2.       (5x-6x+9x)-y+8

      3.         =8x-y+8
