To simplify this expression

[tex]-6w+(-8)+2+(-7w)[/tex]

First we eliminate the parenthesis:

[tex]-6w-8+2-7w[/tex]

Now we have to take common factors. Note that w is into the first and last term, so:

[tex]w(-6-7)-8+2[/tex]

We solve the parenthesis next to w and add the numbers on the right

[tex]w(-13)-6[/tex]

And finally, the number multiplying a variable like w has to be on the left, so the simplified expression is:

[tex]-13w-6[/tex]
