In the 1920s, people had the option of buying electric or gasoline-powered cars.
Both had advantages; electric cars were cleaner and easier to use, while gas-
powered cars could travel longer distances and drive faster.
Advertisers in the 1920s tried to sell these types of cars to different people
based on their view of gender roles.
