If f(x)=2x-4, what x-value would make f(x)=-9

Answer- (-2.5)
Explanation- Replace f(x) with -9 and Add four to both sides then divide both sides by 2 and you get x= -2.5
-9=2x-4
+4. +4

-5=2x
_____======= -2.5
