You can obtain dry crystals of hydrated calcium chloride, CaCl2.6H20,from the solution formed by various processes. One method can be by evaporation. You evaporate the water in the solution until there is less water able to dissolve the crystals. You can also cool down the solution to decrease solubility and supersaturate the solution.
