Indeed,

S=(1,20)
==> y=k*(x-1)²+20
(0,16) is a point of the parabola
==>16=k*(0-1)²+20==>k=-4
Parabola: y=-4(x-1)²+20
if y=0 then -4(x-1)²+20=0==> 4(x-1)²=20=> (x-1)²=5 ==> x=1+√5 or x=1-√5
