If an animal cell suddenly lost the ability to produce GTP, what might happen to its signaling system?

If an organism or animal cell suddenly lost the ability to produce GTP, the signaling system would not be  activated and it will inactivate the G protein on the cytoplasmic side of the plasma membrane. In addition, the signal transduction pathway will only be initiated when a signal molecule binds to a receptor.
