Quasar is a star like object that is very bright and distant.
Quasars are massive, bright, and most distant known celestial objects that release high amounts of energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation, which usually has a star-like image in a telescope. Quasars can only be found in galaxies that have super-massive black holes (black holes that have billions of times of solar masses). In quasars, the black holes are enclosed by a gaseous accretion disk.
