5x+8y=-14

8y = -5x - 14

y = -5/8 x - 14/8

y-intercept when x = 0 so y = -14/8 = -7/4

x-intercept when y = 0 so

-5/8 x - 14/8 = 0

-5/8 x = 14/8

x = 14/8 * (-8/5)

x = -14/5

answer:

y-intercept (0 , -7/4)

x-intercept (-14/5 , 0)
