what's the solution for y+1/2=3/4

[tex] \frac{y+1}{2} = \frac{3}{4} [/tex]

2(y+1) = 3        LCD is 4

2*y + 2*1 = 3

2y + 2 = 3

2y = 3 - 2

2y = 1

y = 1 / 2
